It just reinforces how different Quebec is, and how the RoC will never understand. But this is a rare instance where a circumspect politician treads lightly not out of fear of electoral consequences (as is typically the case), but out of an understanding that Quebec separatists love it when politicians from the Rest of Canada criticize them.
Our political leaders should speak out against xenophobic policies aimed at our fellow citizens, of course.
